How to Make E-Cigarettes Look Even Dumber
Aug 31, 6:00AM
Cigarettes are bad for you. No one—not even the guy smoking on the street corner right now—will argue that. But e-cigarettes are just ridiculous looking. It looks like you're playing with a dumb toy that lights up and annoys people because you get to smoke vapor indoors. Heck, James Dean couldn't even make e-cigs look cool. So let's make it look even dumber! Jordan Morris upped the douche factor of e-cigs in this video above. [Jordan Miller via Geekosystem]

Aug 31, 5:00AM
The Internet is not that hard. We all know that, right? But some people out there (probably duckface selfie-ing on Facebook right now) just aren't very good at the Internet. They just don't get it. They don't know that Google answers any question, they can't spell, they take too many selfies, they obliterate your feed with I love you's to their girlfriend or boyfriend and worst of all, they do it too damn much by posting so often. This is why we can't have nice things.

Aug 31, 2:00AM

And she gave that all up to create another human. So never doubt that your mom only knows how to mother, she knows everything you did before you did. Even the shocker. Hell, she knows more about that than you do too.

What's Your Favorite Cookbook App?
Aug 31, 12:00AM
I've got a stack of loose paper recipe cards 18 inches tall, dozens of cookbooks, a bookmark folder jam-packed with links to Food Beast, Sunset, Bon Appetit, and enough canning ratios rattling around in my head to fill a 21-quart pot. What I don't have is a single mobile resource to digitize, organize, and store my family's four generations-worth of culinary knowledge. But maybe you do.

Aug 30, 9:00PM
As the name suggests, there are really only two components to a gin and tonic (unless you count the lime), which means only two ways to screw it up. It's easy enough to avoid a bad gin. Bad tonic water, though, is the rule, not the exception. Look at a label and you'll see cheap high-fructose corn syrup is the first ingredient in almost all of them. There's a better way.
