When the students of Sandy Hook Elementary School arrive at their new school building for the first day of classes on Thursday, they will be greeted by a winter wonderland of cut-out snowflakes sent from well-wishers from around the world, their "new old principal" Donna Page and their beloved pet turtle, Shelley.
