Apr 12, 10:00PM
This video has been around for a few months, but I just came across it and it's astounding. Check out this Brazilian teen's scratch-built model backhoe. Using plastic syringes and silicon tubing, he's created a miniature hydraulic system that functions the same exact way as the mechanism inside a real excavator. This kid is sharp.

Dealing with credit agencies can be a real pain. A lot of times it feels like the credit bureaus just don't care about regular folks like you and me. We're not alone—turns out, even God can't get an accurate credit report. Because Equifax doesn't believe in Mr. God Gazarov.

Sir David Attenborough is the grand master behind epic nature documentaries like Planet Earth and Blue Planet. His productions take us deep into entirely new worlds that few humans have ever visited. The Gritty Cityscapes of Jeremy Mann
Apr 12, 6:39AM
I love the coarse large format paintings of cities by Jeremy Mann. I like to get lost in his everyday scenes and admire the gritty brushstrokes that reveal a perfect command of light, texture, and color.
Crying baby seal found lost in Swedish city
Apr 12, 6:00AM
Some people found a baby seal crying for attention far away from the open sea, in the city of Sundsvall, in eastern Sweden. Apparently, instead of calling some emergency service, they just filmed her with their cellphones. A sad sign of the times, I guess. So eventually she was like "wtf, screw you humans," went back into the water, and left.
Here is the perfect male and female body according to males and females
Apr 12, 4:17AM
If you ask men and women what they think the perfect body is, you're going to get two very different answers. It's fascinating, really. UK lingerie company Bluebella surveyed men and women on the "perfect" man and woman using celebrity features and came up with these bodies above.
Ah, Looks Like the Acid's Finally Kicking in
Apr 12, 4:00AM
David Lynch, famed director of iconic Hollywood films like Eraserhead and Dune, is also a kickass musician. Here, he's put his madleet remixing skills to work, reimagining Ultraísta's afrobeat-infused electronica single, "Strange Formula." He didn't touch the video though, it was that psychedelic when he got there.

Captain America's "To-Do List" is different depending on the country
Apr 12, 1:49AM
Here's a fun little easter egg in Captain America: The Winter Soldier: In the beginning of the movie, we get a peek of Captain America's list of things he missed out on while he was asleep. Things like I Love Lucy and the Moon landing and Steve Jobs fill up his cute "things to catch up on to do list" but the funny thing is that the list is different depending on which country the movie is shown in.
Super clever stop motion animation uses wood like you've never seen
Apr 11, 11:57PM
Andre Maat had the brilliant idea to play with the shape and consistency of wood in his stop-motion video Woodoo and it warps the naturally stiff material into a living, breathing (and smoking object). The execution is pretty fantastic, each shape fluidly transforms into another. I love it when things do things they're not supposed to.

For the first time in history, astronauts will grow their own food in space using this groovy disco box, an important step towards future long-term space travel and extraterrestrial colonies. Incidentally, this must be great to cultivate weed.
Finally, A Stadium Shaped Like A Crocodile
Apr 11, 10:40PM
I'm as baffled as you are that it's taken so long, but it seems someday we still might get the stadium we've all known architecture really needs: Turkey's Burasapor soccer team, nicknamed the "Green Crocodiles," could soon be getting an architectural masterpiece, a structure that will rival the greatest palaces of the last 200 years, even outdoing the timeless proportions of the Acropolis. It is a coiling green crocodile with blazing spotlights in its eyes.
